March Gladness

Mt. Calvary Has been chosen to participate in the 2nd annual, March Gladne$$; a competitive and collaborative fundraising initiative focused on inspiring generosity during the month of March.

Ten local churches and nonprofits are competing to see who can inspire the most generosity during the month of March.

We KEEP 100% of what we raise for the missions and projects we care most about!

Many ways to participate:

– Thrivent Action Teams

Every Thrivent Member has access to $500 to spend to raise funds or contribute to a fellowship, community project, or mission. For more information on how to use your action team seed money contact your Thrivent representative (Tom, Dave, or Dillon at Mt. Calvary) or talk with Paul.

– Thrivent Choice Dollars

Some Thrivent members with certain products have access to Choice Dollars that can be distributed to non-profits of their choice. Contact your Thrivent representative for information on how do to direct your funds to the missions or charities that you care about. (all funds given to Mt. Calvary are then redirected to Lutheran for Life).

– Volunteering

You can help by volunteering for the Lenten dinners or for any other opportunity that presents itself to Mt. Calvary.

When a March Gladness volunteer opportunity becomes available Mt. Calvary will send an email notification and list further information on this page.

March Gladness is done in partnership with Flint Hills Thrivent Group

– Other Donations

Lenten dinners

March 2nd

The Mt. Calvary Piecemakers will serve a meal. Donations will be gathered for the Mt. Calvary Benevolence fund to support members in their times of need, such as the Hoffman family as they continue to have medical needs for Brianna.

March 9th

This is your call to be a part of March Gladness by Joining the Thrivent Action Team who will host a Lenten dinner on March 9th. Free will donations will go to Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) in honor of John the Warrior. John is the 14 year old teen from Havensville Kansas in need of a Kidney transplant.

So put on your Mary and Martha aprons and a few Lazarus can join us also to prepare and serve the evening meal. 5th grade and older youth are encouraged to participate as well.

Contact Robin Kolterman to participate

March 23

This meal supports the Youth Group as they fundraise to attend the National Youth Gathering this summer in Houston.

Accompanying the meal will be a free will offering Milk Shake Bar with over-the-top shakes guaranteed to satisfy even the sweetest of tooths.
