Compassion In Action

About the Ministry:

COMPASSION-IN-ACTION (CIA) is an in-reach ministry at

Mt. Calvary. Our focus is to provide loving support to  congregation members at challenging times and to others with special needs.

Support includes reaching out to our faith family in various ways:

  • provide a meal for the ill or recovering from a hospital stay, welcome a new baby, or to a family experiencing a recent death
  • transportation to doctor/dental/medical appointment
  • errands and meals for homebound (pharmacy, groceries, etc.)
  • home or phone visit to “check in” on homebound and/or nursing home residents
  • assist home bound with a simple task around the house
  • help with community food drives and other requests for community assistance
  • organize and serve funeral meals
  • send greeting cards of sympathy, get well, thinking of you
